1. The Final Selection Arc

The Final Selection Arc is the first arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, which introduces the main characters and sets the tone for the series. In this arc, Tanjiro, an average charcoal seller, becomes a Demon Slayer after years of training under Urokodaki's guidance. He then takes the Final Selection, an entrance exam for aspiring Demon Slayers, where they must survive on a mountain for seven days while fighting demons.

This arc quickly jumps from zero to one hundred, as Tanjiro goes from being an ordinary boy to picking up a Nichirin blade to fight demons. The Final Selection Arc also introduces the concept of Hashira, starting with Giyu Tomioka.

2. The Kidnapper's Bog Arc

The Kidnapper's Bog Arc, also known as the First Mission Arc, is the second arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. In this arc, Tanjiro takes his first steps towards becoming a full-fledged Demon Slayer by investigating the mysterious disappearances of young women in a nearby town. The main event of this arc is Tanjiro and Nezuko's battle against the Swamp Demon, which showcases their impressive teamwork and the viciousness of the demons they face. Although the Swamp Demon is not an Upper Rank or even a Lower Rank in Muzan's Twelve Kizuki, the fight proves to be a significant challenge for the siblings.

This arc is an essential part of the series, as it sets the stage for Tanjiro's journey as a Demon Slayer and introduces the concept of Blood Demon Arts.

3. The Asakusa Arc

The Asakusa Arc is a significant arc in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba that introduces Tamayo and Yushiro, two rare examples of demons who can coexist with humanity. This arc also marks Tanjiro's first encounter with Muzan Kibutsuji, which shakes him to his core. After meeting Tamayo and Yushiro, Tanjiro shares his idea of finding a cure for demons, but they are soon attacked by Susamaru and Yahaba, two Twelve Kizuki hopefuls who will do anything to serve Muzan.

This arc showcases the impressive teamwork of Tanjiro and his companions and the viciousness of the demons they face. Although most of the series' demons are not docile and kind like Nezuko, Tamayo and Yushiro prove to be rare exceptions.

4. The Tsuzumi Mansion Arc

The Tsuzumi Mansion Arc is the fourth story arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. In this arc, Tanjiro and Zenitsu are sent on a mission to investigate a house where Kyogai, a former Twelve Kizuki member, is wreaking havoc. During this arc, Zenitsu unveils his true power against the Tongue Demon, and fans get their first glimpse of Inosuke's potential during his fight against the Horned Demon. Tanjiro's fight against Kyogai is epic, and its aftermath proves the young demon slayer's boundless compassion.

The arc also formally introduces the lovable coward Zenitsu Agatsuma and the hard-headed boar-child Inosuke Hashibira. This arc is considered the most action-packed yet and showcases the impressive teamwork of Tanjiro and his companions.

5. The Mount Natagumo Arc

The Mount Natagumo Arc is the fifth arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. In this arc, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke go on their first group mission to take down the powerful Spider Family demons on Mount Natagumo. This mission proves to be a significant challenge for the trio, with Zenitsu sitting on the sidelines for most of the arc. Rui, the first current member of the Twelve Kizuki, is introduced in this arc, and it takes everything Tanjiro and Nezuko have to defeat him.

The arc also reveals that Tanjiro is capable of Sun Breathing since he performs his Hinokami Kagura. By the end of the arc, Giyu and Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, reappear. The Mount Natagumo Arc is action-packed and showcases the impressive teamwork of Tanjiro and his companions.

6. The Rehabilitation Training Arc

The Rehabilitation Training Arc is a significant story arc in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. In this arc, Tanjiro is brought before the Hashira and put on trial for traveling with his demon sister Nezuko. Despite attempts to disparage and discredit Nezuko, Kagaya decides there is no reason to punish anyone and allows Nezuko to live. The main gang is then taken to the Butterfly Mansion, where they spend time recuperating from the previous battle.

This arc introduces the other seven Hashira members and is a breather episode between the dark Mount Natagumo Arc and the tragic Infinity Train Arc. The Rehabilitation Training Arc is a crucial part of the series, as it sets the stage for Tanjiro's journey as a Demon Slayer and introduces the concept of Hashira training.

7. The Mugen Train Arc

The Mugen Train Arc is one of the most exciting arcs in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and has been adapted into a movie that fans can watch on Crunchyroll. In this arc, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke join the Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku on a mission to defeat Enmu, a Lower Rank demon who has fused his spirit with the train.

This arc is known for its epic fight scenes, especially the battle against Enmu, which takes place on a speeding train. The Mugen Train Arc also introduces Akaza, an Upper Rank demon who famously takes down Rengoku, showcasing the seemingly limitless strength of the Upper Rank demons. This arc is a significant turning point in the series and sets the stage for the tragic Infinity Train Arc.

8. The Entertainment District Arc

The Entertainment District Arc is the eighth story arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. In this arc, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Insouke go undercover in brothels to locate the demon wreaking havoc in the city. The arc introduces Tengen Uzui, the Flashy Sound Hashira, and all three of his "wives." The Entertainment District Arc is known for having some of the best fights in the series and introduces the Upper Rank demons Daki and Gyutaro, who demonstrate the true terror of Muzan's Twelve Kizuki.

This arc also puts Nezuko through a bizarre transformation where she grows strong enough to stun Daki, although she nearly loses herself in the process. The Entertainment District Arc is a significant turning point in the series and sets the stage for the tragic Infinity Castle Arc.

9. The Swordsmith Village Arc

The Swordsmith Village Arc is the ninth story arc of Demon Slayer. In this arc, Tanjiro goes to the swordsmith village to get his sword repaired, but he ends up taking on two Upper Rank demons after running into Muichiro and Genya. The arc is action-packed and features some of the best fights in the series. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Mitsuri all take on Hantengu, an Upper Rank Demon who can generate emotion clones, while Muichiro fights Gyokko.

This arc also reveals that Nezuko has grown strong enough to survive in the sunlight, which upsets Muzan. The Swordsmith Village Arc is currently being animated and is nearly over.

10. The Hashira Training Arc

The Hashira Training Arc is a story arc in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba that aims to improve the abilities and physical health of all demon slayers. The Hashira Training is a one-of-a-kind training session taught by the Hashira, where slayers in lower ranks can train with the best. Each of the Hashira oversees a different component of the training program, including basic stamina training, flexibility, overall speed, swordsmanship, strength training, and muscle building.

The Hashira Training Arc is a pretty brutal training arc, but it's full of entertaining banter and feels like the calm before the storm. It is rumored that the Hashira Training Arc will be animated in 2023.

11. The Infinity Castle Arc

The Infinity Castle Arc is the first sub-arc of the Final Battle Arc in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. This arc is action-packed and filled with explosive battles as the Demon Slayer Corps finally takes on Muzan Kibutsuji, the demonic overlord. The Infinity Castle is a mystical and labyrinthine fortress that serves as the headquarters of Muzan Kibutsuji and his powerful Upper Moon demons. The arc begins with the demon slayers, led by the remaining Hashira, launching a daring assault on the Infinity Castle to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji and his Upper Moon demons. Sacrifices are made, and the characters are forced to confront the harsh realities of their world, questioning the true nature of demons and the blurred line between good and evil.

The Infinity Castle Arc is filled with heart-pounding battles that showcase the true strength of the Demon Slayer Corps, including Shinobu versus Doma, Tanjiro and Giyu versus Akaza, and Obanai and Mitsuri versus Nakime.

12. The Sunrise Countdown Arc

The Sunrise Countdown Arc is the second half of the overarching Final Battle Arc and the twelfth and final story arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. This arc is the final Demon Slayer arc, bringing an end to the iconic story. The Sunrise Countdown Arc has a pretty self-explanatory premise: the Demon Slayer Corps must take down Muzan and his regime before the sun rises. The arc is filled with intense battles, and the main trio has to defeat Tanjiro, who has turned into a demon. Luckily, he reawakens as a human, and Nezuko is cured as well.

Despite their considerable losses, the main trio has a happy ending. Tanjiro ends up with Kanao, Inosuke ends up with Aoi, and Zenitsu is in a loving relationship with Nezuko, which is probably the most unexpected event in all the Demon Slayer arcs.
